DDO 16th Anniversary

Dungeons & Dragons Online is celebrating its Sweet 16 this year and rather than the usual video game anniversary celebratory freebies and anniversary event, they've decided to go an extra step. Don’t worry, there are still the normal freebies, as well. This year, Daybreak decided it might be nice to offer players a selection of races and classes from the D&D Player's Handbook. All total, players will have free access to seven races: Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Drow, Wood-elf, Dragonborn, and Tiefling, and three classes: Druid, Monk, and Warlock. Those who already own these races and classes will be gifted a Greater Elixir of Discovery for each one they own instead. They’ll arrive before update 53 and can be obtained from Jubilee the Discoverer in the Eberron Hall of Heroes.

Players will also receive new party team outfits available in five different colors, and a cloak is available to obtain from the Djinn outside the Anniversary Dungeon. Players will likely want to pick these up before joining members of the dev team in House Phiarlan for an anniversary challenge.

Additionally, VIP players are getting a special anniversary bonus as well. Between now and the end of the year, VIP members will receive a free Gold roll as well as their normal free daily silver.

On a different note, Update 53 dropped today. The adventure pack is available to VIPs for free and on the DDO store for everyone else. It includes two new dungeons and a level 32 Legendary raid.
