Dirty Bomb Open Beta Goes Live

Nexon's free to play shooter, Dirty Bomb, starts open beta later today, name and all! Players will no longer have to pay for access, sign up to win keys, or hope that they score a key from the site. Anyone that wants to play can download the Steam client and get started in just a few hours.

Dirty Bomb's open beta will start with 12 unique mercs for players to control, 5 maps for objective based gameplay, and more of both on the way shortly after open beta begins. Final prep for open beta has already begun with a list of hotfixes adding into the client last night. For those of you that have already been playing, these hotfixes included:

  • Matchmaking can now only be done for 1 region at a time. This resolves an issue where players could be brought into a match in a region they did not select.
  • Character skin lighting updated to make team identification easier.
  • Fixed issue with missions not being granted if you recently scrapped one.
  • Fixed issue with Ranked badge icons being incorrect.
  • Fixed an issue that caused an error on connecting to a matchmaking game.
  • Fixed an issue where if a player was banned from a server they would become stuck on the loading screen when trying to connect through a friend.

    P2w. The time you spend farming loss gold over weeks is not fun. "I play to watch losing screen all day" said no gamer ever. Nexon is garbage. I paid for gold stuff and it was god mode. Got bored. Uninstalled

    As you can see,those 3 idiots before me said its either pay to win or crap.I want to say that,in a long time,almost 1 year,i couldnt get into a game,until Dirty Bomb came.I like all the chars,ITS NOT PAY TO WIN,since you can get 101% stuff through the game.Certainly,Mercs are expensive as .... but you can get them in like 1 week if you do your daily missions.Overall 10/10 (Threw a random grenade and actually killed someone !)

    Its a pay to win buy golden merc and kil everyone, game is copy paste from existing fps, there is nothing then brainless pvp, all he time same gayplay over and over.
