Dauntless Holiday Event

Endure a lonely Christmas, test yourselves against ice storms in space, or test your mettle against a Frostwülf behemoth. These are just some of the things you can do for the holidays in SoulWorker, Eve Online, or Dauntless depending on your game of choice. All three games are currently celebrating the holidays in their own unique way and, of course, offering their own unique rewards.

In SoulWorker, players can take part in holiday-themed events beginning on December 23. During this time, not only will there be special shop-related events, but also a Christmas-themed dungeon titled “Lonely Christmas”. In this dungeon, players will need to defeat the boss to earn Christmas coins that can be exchanged for costume tickets and other items. In addition, a Christmas coupon event will provide attentive players who keep an eye on the game’s various social media accounts with codes that can be redeemed for Christmas-themed titles. Of course, there are special items available in the cash shop.

In Eve Online, ice storms have broken out throughout New Eden. These seasonal Wightstorms pop up in various combat sites and those who brave them, particularly in mining and hauling ships ready to carry the loot back to friendly NPCs, will be rewarded with special packages. Eve’s holiday event also boasts daily challenges and offers players lots of extra goodies over the 13 Days of Nexus, just for logging in.

Finally, Dauntless has given the Deepfrost Embermane a bit of an upgrade, even renaming it the Frostwülf and making it a full-fledged behemoth just in time for the holidays. This new, frosty foe can be found in the Snowbound Wastes where players can take the creature on in a special island event. The creatures on this island are resistant to regular weapons so players will need to get creative. It’s heavily implied by the picture on the site that that creativity involves throwing snowballs at them, which makes some sense. It turns out that one of the other activities does, in fact, involve building snow forts and having snowball fights. As with the other events, there are plenty of seasonal rewards to be had.
