It's the last day of 2019, and while we're celebrating the top games of the past 10 years, some game companies are content to just look back on the last 365 days, the weaklings. To be fair, some of them didn't exist 10 years ago, so we'll give them a pass. Maybe.

World of Warships added multiple new lines of ships, including submarines, as well as several new game modes and events and gameplay improvements, such as a revision to aircraft carriers. Why, my favorite part of the year was when they *checks notes* "optimized game client operations." I can't believe we left that off our top 10 list!

For a more personal touch, check out the next video to hear about the best of 2019 direct from the mouths of the World of Warships staff. Well, direct from their translators, at least.

Grinding Gear Games had a busy 2019, culminating in ExileCon in November, along with the announcement of a sequel for Path of Exile. Interspersed with all that were four expansions, launches in South Korea and on the PlayStation 4, a remastered soundtrack, revamps of several types of skills, and much more. Check out the complete list on the PoE site, where it's already 2020.

If you were an AdventureQuest 3D fan, you'll probably recall "battle concerts" featuring Korn and Alice In Chains as highlights of 2019. On the tech side, Artix Entertainment debuted a new launcher for its games, including the new IdleQuest, in 2019. On the down-ish side, Artix also suffered a "record number" of DDoS attacks in 2019, but "instead of killing us, they made so much stronger." Don't make Artix angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry.
