Darktide Gamescom Trailer

Developer Fatshark showed off a new Warhammer 40K: Darktide trailer during the Opening Night Live showcase at Gamescom 2022 that reveals the setting, character creation, classes, and more.

The Opening Night Live trailer sends viewers into the hive city of Tertium, where players will receive no reinforcements or support from the outside. Players will step into the shoes of a Reject who, alongside their team, are the last line of defense for Tertium.

Throughout the video, viewers caught glimpses of the character creation system, class selection, building a loadout, and the nightmares players will face inside Tertium. Just about everything shown stays true to the brutal grimdark future of the Warhammer 40K universe, and I'd argue Fatshark has smoothened up some of the game's animations since their past trailer at Summer Game Fest.

Despite the game getting delayed to November 30, players can get in early on the title by joining up for beta testing on the Darktide official website. Fatshark will be continuing these tests until release.
