Genshin Impact Dragonspine Anniversary Event

It’s been a whole year since Dragonspine, that deathly cold mountain area, was added to miHoYo’s Genshin Impact. Since then, we’ve been braving the cold and damned near freezing to death mid-combat like the insane people we are. Like several areas in Genshin Impact, Dragonspine is inspired by real-world locations. In particular, one of the references is the Matterhorn in the Alps. To celebrate the anniversary of the zone, miHoYo has decided to do something special.

Currently, Europe’s highest ski resort, Val Thorens, is Genshin Impact-themed, bringing a bit of Teyvat to the real world. In addition, the developer is hosting another web event, titled “Enchanting Journey of Snow and Stars”. Players participating in this event will help to light up a teleport waypoint that has been placed in the Alps. Take part in the event by doing simple things like creating a customized card and writing down wishes that will be sent to a Tree of Wishes in the Alps. Player participation is being tallied for this event. Once the number of participants reaches one million, an Alps Waypoint Lighting Ceremony will take place. The ceremony will be broadcast via YouTube, Twitch, and VK. And yes, we’re talking about an actual physical waypoint, which can be seen in the last Special Program stream.

Participating in the online event won’t just help to light the waypoint. There will also be in-game rewards. As participant milestones are reached, players will be able to claim different items, including Mora and Primogems. To take part, and get the participant number up to that one million mark, head over to the event page.
