Genshin Impact Special Program

Genshin Impact’s next update is coming up. And it's set to arrive January 5th. When it does, it will introduce several new bits of content, including a new zone in Inazuma, two new characters, hangout quests, events, and more. Story-wise, the majority of the new content will be tied to Liyue, what with the Lantern Rite festival coming up and Ningguang finally ready to rebuild the Jade Chamber. Of course, she’s enlisting the Traveler’s help, but that’s not the only help she’s getting. Two new characters are helping out as well. The first is the adepti disciple Shenhe and the second is the director of the Yun-Han opera troupe Yun Jin. Both are available as new playable characters as well. Both Shenhe and Yun-Han will be available in one of the upcoming event wishes, along with some returning favorites, who also happen to tie into the current story content, Xiao, Zhongli, and Ganyu.

Quest-wise, aside from helping Ningguang rebuild the Jade Champer in “The Crane Returns on the Wind”, players will be able to hang out with her in “The Jade Chamber’s Returning Guest”. A hangout quest will also be available for Yun Jin – “A Song that Knows Grace”.

As mentioned, the Lantern Rite Festival is returning. It won’t be exactly like last year’s event. This year, players get to make their own fireworks, help gather items lost when the Jade Chamber fell, and fight an all-new – but kinda familiar – boss. And yes, there will be rewards, like a new outfit for Ningguang.

The last bit of completely new content is a mysterious new region accessed beneath Watatsumi Island. This is an ancient sunken island known as Enkanomiya, where ruins and monsters reign. It’s pale, dark, mysterious, and filled with puzzles – some of them relying on an artificial day/night system.

Finally, there will be new optimizations. No longer will players have to drag their map to go from Inazuma to Mondstadt, or scroll forever to find that alchemy recipe. New features are being added to the teapot as well.

On some additional notes, the brick Paimon has been created and installed and those who submitted their wishes and want a peek at her can find her in the video. Also, it’s been a year since Dragonspine became available in the game, and to celebrate, miHoYo is lighting a waypoint in the Alps, which the zone is based on. And yes, we have your codes. Use them today, or lose them.
