Genshin Impact Version 2.5 Special Program

Today, miHoYo hosted the first Genshin Impact Special Program of 2022 offering players a preview of what’s to come in the Version 2.5 update, coming February 16. As most of you have probably guessed, the update – When the Sakura Bloom – adds the head maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine and friend of the Raiden Shogun, Yae Miko, as a new five-star playable character. She’ll be the only new character in this update and available in the first event wish. The phase two event wishes will feature the Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi, to go along with the update’s story content.

Yae Miko is another catalyst user who can manipulate Electro. Her skills allow her to cause constant damage and move around the field quickly (while causing even more damage) like the fox she is. Her skills are also tied to the Sesshou Sakura we see at the shrine.

Players will find out more about Yae Miko with the introduction of the first part of her storyline, Divina Vulpes Chapter: Act I. We also get to explore more of the Raiden Shogun’s Story with the continuation of her story in Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II. Both stories are tied to the history of Inazuma, and the Raiden Shogun’s quest is tied to the Inazuma Archon quest. It’s also worth noting that players will need to complete the Raiden Shogun’s new storyline before unlocking Yae Miko’s quest.

The update will also introduce a new-ish enemy (definitely a new boss). The devs aren’t saying who she is, but she looks an awful lot like the Raiden Shogun, only a good bit scarier than the one we know...and that lady is scary already.

Speaking of new enemies, a new series of “Shadowy Husk” enemies is being introduced. There are three types, each with different weapons and abilities. These abilities will make it difficult for players to take them down using their normal methods. One example given was one of the shadow husks gaining its own shield when hitting a player character using a shield, so have fun with that.

On the event side of things, a new type of gameplay has been added that takes players back to Enkonomiya – or an area based on it. Unlike a lot of events, the main purpose of this event is just to explore, but it won’t be as easy as wandering around. Players will have to deal with the effects of the mysterious darkness which will wear on them over time and eventually make it difficult to defeat monsters. The upside is that players will have a new gadget to help them out. However, it’s only a matter of time until the darkness wears on it as well, so keep an eye out for statues where you can replenish. As you explore, collect special items needed and offer them to a specific statue in order to eventually clear the darkness in the region. And yes, there will be rewards for taking part in this event.

A second event asks players to design their own domain and share it. Resources to design the domains will be provided by the game – after they complete some preset domains. When creating these domains, players can do more than just place platforms and items. They can also set the difficulty for their domain. There is a catch to sharing the content. You have to be able to complete it first.

The third event puts players to work in Diluc’s tavern, putting together drinks for patrons – all non-alcoholic. Mixing the drinks will allow players to collect new recipes as well. Of course, there will be returning events as well, with a few small changes.

If everything above isn’t enough, today’s Special Program also offered a look at Version 2.6. When this arrives, it will allow players to explore the Chasm in Liyue. It’ll take players down into the underground mines, where unique materials and monsters exist – including a Ruin Serpent. According to legend, this is where Rex Lapis and Azhdaha fought, so we may be learning even more about Zhongli’s history.

As always, the Special Program included three codes for free Primogems and other useful items. All are available below. Just remember to use them today.

Code 1: VTPU3CQWYCSD

Genshin Impact V 2.5 Code 1

Code 2: AB7VJC9EGDAZ

Genshin Impact V 2.5 Code 2

If you’d like to watch the Special Program in full, we’ve provided it below. Along with this morning’s concert Reflections of Spring.

All Codes are Expired. This is a downside to this game. whenever they give a code it last no longer than maybe 30 seconds if that idk. seems like everytime I see the codes they are expired when I use them
