Get Walking With Crossout’s New Mecha-Style Battle Walkers
What’s post-apocalyptic vehicular warfare without mechs?
Today, Gaijin Entertainment released the latest major content update for the post-apocalyptic action game Crossout. Titled “Next Step”, the update introduces mecha-style battle walkers to the game as an armored combat vehicle option. This is, funnily enough, the next step after adding bipedal leg parts to the game last month (and probably why the update is named what it is). Now, players aren’t just slapping legs on car bodies, they’re creating proper war mechs.
In addition to the mechs, the Next Step update also introduces a new map: “The Way to the Top”, and a new brawl: “For the Emperor”.
Another addition is the new Arcade PvP mode that allows all vehicle types, including mechs, to participate. To make it all work, players will find the performance of some modules changed, but that should ideally make it more fun.
