Guild Wars 2 Announces 2016 PvP World Championships In September
Polish up your scepters, sharpen your greatswords, and... uh, light up your torches, for the Guild Wars 2 World Championships! ArenaNet, in partnership with ESL, will present the best of the best in Guild Wars 2 PvP action this Sept. 17, with a $200,000 prize pool up for grabs.
To qualify for the six-team, single-elimination event, which will take place at the ESL headquarters in Burbank, teams must emerge victorious in the double-elimination qualifiers Aug. 6-7. Seeding will be determined by placement in Season 2 of the Pro League and the results of this weekend's Season 2 Finals event.
If you'd rather watch the action from the sidelines, you can tune in to the GW2 Twitch channel; tickets to the Finals event will go on sale at a later date. For full details, check out the description on the Guild Wars 2 site.
