Housing Returns To The Lord Of The Rings Online, But It's In Phases
Housing will open in a set order, starting with Premium first.
Standing Stone Games is ready to bring housing back to The Lord of the Rings Online after having it disabled on the MMORPG's 64-bit servers for the last month. I mean, it's not like they had other burning issues or anything. To keep things smooth, the developers have decided not to make all housing available at once, but instead to roll it out.
Neighborhoods will be opened in alphabetical order beginning Monday, March 31. This process has been further divided between Premium and Classic housing. Over the first three days, those wanting premium housing can stake their claim. Then, beginning on Thursday, April 3, Classic housing will open up.
As for when, precisely, the housing will become available, that information is broken down by servers. For EU folks, housing opens first on Meriadoc at 12pm Eastern, followed by Orcrist 10 minutes later. US servers will be able to access housing starting on the Glamdring server at 6:00 pm Eastern. As with Europe, Peregrin will follow 10 minutes later.
