Who is the audacious yet brilliant Arcanist, Azandar al-Cybiades?

In a letter on the official Elder Scrolls Online website, Elydrina Nathriin from Shad Astula Academy reaches out to her cousin expressing her frustration and concern regarding a potential collaboration with Azandar. While acknowledging his brilliance as a theoretician and Azandar’s impressive understanding of Daedric realms, she emphasizes that his arrogance, complex wordplay, and lack of awareness of consequences make him infuriating to deal with.

This is apparent through an anecdote Elydrina shares about Telenger the Artificer, who invited Azandar to assist in excavating a ruin heavy with planar magics. While on the expedition, he disregarded caution, closed off portals, capped magicka wells, and even claimed to be doing Telenger a favor by closing an enigmatum.

As you can see, Azandar seems untrustworthy and seems to have no regard for others. That’s why Elydrina advises her cousin to stay away from collaborating with him.

But let Azandar speak for himself.

In a new Loremaster's Archive, he shares his expertise on the Arcanists and their connection to the enigmatic realm of Apocrypha, coming in the MMORPG's Necrom update. As a renowned theoretician and esteemed arcanist, Azandar eagerly takes on the role of scholar-in-residence to provide insights and answer questions from the academic community.

Despite previous publication refusals, he embraces the opportunity to discuss the esoteric nature of mystical pursuits and looks forward to engaging with a broader audience. With a spirited demeanor, Azandar invites readers to embark on an enlightening journey through the realm of arcane knowledge.
