Aion Ascend

Aion is launching a new “Ascend” server, set for August 19 — offering a streamlined experience for both new and returning players.

The server consolidates elements from Korea’s Wind, Lumi, and X servers, delivering faster progression, easier gear upgrades, and an overall improved quality-of-life experience for players of the free-to-play MMORPG. Alongside it, the Classic 4.0 Part 2 Update rolls out to existing servers, raising the level cap to 70 and introducing new dungeons, raids, and loot options.

Ascend is set in the Classic environment but tailored to modern gameplay preferences. Players can now fly from Level 1, equip most gear early, and benefit from significantly accelerated leveling (XP x4), increased dungeon rewards (2x), and enhanced item enhancement success rates. A key focus is on Kinah-based progression — from buying PvP equipment to acquiring Enchantment and Manastones, almost all essential growth paths rely on Kinah earned in-game rather than through the shop.

The server’s design eliminates grind-heavy bottlenecks: key skills are auto-acquired, quest lines are simplified and made more lucrative, and teleportation options make navigation seamless. PvP-focused gear lines — Combat Officer, Commander, and more — are now easily obtainable with Kinah, and enhancements come via local merchants and the traveling Peddler Shugo.

At max level, players engage in weekly Fortress Battles and Raids, with success earning them millions of Kinah and top-tier gear. Additional Kinah can be obtained through quests like the “Golden Wind” series, battlefield participation, and trading in Abyss Points. Even equipment you do not need can now be sold for Kinah.
