Mobile League Of Legends: Wild Rift Enters Open Beta In Asia; Europe Added In December, Americas In Spring
You can finally play League of Legends: Wild Rift, the mobile version of Riot Games' world-famous MOBA -- but only if you live in certain parts of the world. The open beta for the game is currently available on Android and iOS devices to users in Southeast Asia, though Riot plans to extend the beta to the rest of the world in the coming months.
Specifically, players in Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Timor-Leste can pick up and play the game right now. In December, Riot hopes to extend the test to Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, Oceania, Russia, Taiwan, Turkey, and Vietnam. Service in the Americas will kick off in Spring 2021.
Players in South Korea and Japan can use their existing Riot accounts to earn rewards, while players in other regions who don't have an account can create one to accumulate rewards that will be handed out later in the year.
