After "10 Years Of Passion", Natural Selection 2 Ceases Active Development
Thankfully players will still be able to play games on demand.
Unknown Worlds Entertainment’s multiplayer first-person shooter and real-time strategy game, Natural Selection 2, has ceased active development. The game first launched in October of 2012, and since its initial launch, the game has received 117 updates and 10 years of passion and support from the dedicated player base and development team.
The company is wishing a fond farewell to NS2 in order to continue with other projects within the company. The NS2 team said in their official announcement that while there is no longer active development on NS2, they will still continue to host matched play servers so that community members can play games on-demand with other players or bots.
While this isn't a goodbye, it is still a closing of a massive chapter. Fans that would like to read the official announcement can do so on the game's Steam page.
