Famitsu Interview With Yoshi-P 6-1

When the Final Fantasy XIV team drops Patch 6.1, it will kick off a new adventure for players. We don’t have the old gods to fight anymore and the nations of Eorzea are working together for a better future, but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot for us to do (and locations we haven't seen!). It also doesn't mean the places and people we've become attached to along the way will be abandoning us. In fact, some of those relationships will continue to grow. That is, according to a recent interview with Yoshi-P on Famitsu. Now that we're not worrying about the destruction of...well…several worlds, we have time to spend learning the things we never knew about our friends and companions.

Of course, we’ll do this as we explore new places filled with dungeons and other interesting content. In fact, it's been confirmed that players can expect the same pace of dungeon releases as in previous post-expansion content. That means we'll continue to get a dungeon for every patch.

Famitsu's interview goes on to inquire about the upcoming raid featuring the Twelve and how it will tie into the rest of the game world. Of course, Yoshi-P isn't being completely forthcoming here. The man loves a good tease, but he does go on to say that the new raid will be a new level of difficulty – although, it's apparently still being adjusted.

The interview also asked about the return of Hildibrand. It appears that part of the reason Hildy was skipped the last time around was due to how the nature of his quests restricts what the devs can and can't do with the content. They've since come back with a story that will work and follow the format we all know and love. Apparently, everyone asking about Hildy made everyone know just how popular the character is.

Of course, these are just some of the highlights of the interview. There’s a lot more there to read about. That said, you may hear some of this information from Yoshi-P himself when he does the second portion of the 6.1 Live Letter tomorrow. As stated before Live Letter 70 will take place at 7:00 AM Eastern time. It won’t be translated live, but we’ll have you covered later on.
