GW2 Living World

Today, the origin of Guild Wars 2's villainous Scarlet Briar debuts in the new Living World Season 1's Episode 3: "Clockwork Chaos." Available today for all players for free, Clockwork Chaos is a consolidated narrative episode of the original 2013 scenario with some new rewards added.

The Sylvari mastermind, Scarlet Briar, is the main focus of the Clockwork Chaos episode and becomes the driving force for the city of Lion's Arch's demise. Longtime fans will be able to re-experience one of the narrative moments that has set the tone for Guild Wars 2. Following that, there are new rewards like Watchknight Greaves and the Pavilion Champion's Wolfblade that players can get their hands on.

Alongside the release of Clockwork Chaos are some free updates to the earlier world boss encounters in core Guild Wars 2 areas. The Great Jungle Wurm, Shadow Behemoth, Svanir Shaman Chief, and Fire Elemental bosses will get some visual touch-ups, and their encounters will feature current game improvements like telegraphs and rebalanced health pools.

Besides that, more episodes of Living World Season 1 are coming throughout 2022. Currently, we know that September will see the fourth episode of Living World Season 1, thanks to ArenaNet's Summer Roadmap blog. We'll let you know when news arrives on the fifth episode since the devs seem to have some surprises planned throughout the summer.
