PS5 Wayfinder Founders Aren't Receiving Their Founder Items, It's Being Fixed, But There's A Caveat
You may have to start over yet again if you want your items as soon as the patch goes live.
Wayfinder and Airship Syndicate finally got their Echoes update onto the PS5 and the game is available on the PlayStation Store once again. It's all rosy then, right? Well, not quite. It WILL BE, but it isn't right now.
Why? If you bought the Founder's Packs for the initial launch of Wayfinder's PlayStation early access, you're still entitled to the items that came in that bundle, even though Wayfinder has undergone extensive changes. Unfortunately, PS5 players logged into their free Echoes update and found that their items weren't delivered as promised.
Airship Syndicate is already aware of the issue and has submitted a patch to Sony to fix the issue and get your items sent to you, but there's kind of a caveat. If you already started playing since the Echoes update yesterday, you'll sadly have to make a new game save to get those items and that's only after Sony pushes the patch. If you are totally unwilling to start over yet again, the team is trying to work on a patch to get around having to start over, but the timeline for the delivery of that potential update isn't available yet.
PS5 Founders!
A patch as been submitted to Sony that solves Founders items not being delivered and we expect it to be released later today. You will have to make a new game save to get these items when this patch is live.
We are working on a patch for those who choose not to… https://t.co/cpWrZRU6cg

UPDATE: If you're willing to restart, the fix for getting your items is now live.
