DCUO Halloween

Aaah! Halloween season is upon us and nothing says “spooky” more than Gotham City…Okay, “spooky and completely bat-shit bonkers”… Anyway, Halloween has arrived in DC Universe Online, and it is, in fact, being celebrated in Gotham with some of the festivities taking place in The Midnight Masquerade Nightclub. To take part in the event, players will need to speak to either the Phantom Stranger or Tala – depending on if you’re a goodie or a baddie – and receive their instructions. They can also queue for the club via the On Duty UI under the Events tab. You can also score a free advance token!

There’s also a new flying challenge during this event, the Multiplayer Aerial Movement Challenge: "Flapping in the Night”. (I’m not sure who invited Darkwing Duck, but okay.) In this challenge, players are transformed into vampire bats in order to race around Arkham Asylum.

Of course, taking part in the festivities will earn players new feats and collections, including "One Fast Bat", "Flying Rats?", and "Lair of the Night Creatures", among others. Players can also complete the daily “The Witching Hour” mission in their journal and earn Spooky Bites that can be exchanged for items via Teekl’s Halloween bucket.

More information on the update and event can be found on the DCUO page. We’d just like to note here that (as of this writing) there’s a bit of a discrepancy between posts. While both read almost exactly the same, the update post lists the level requirement to participate in the event at 10, while the event post lists it at 20. So, the best thing to do is probably just to log in and see for yourself.
