UPDATE: Things Get Competitive Once Again In Old School RuneScape With The Launch Of Leagues V: Raging Echoes
There's some returning features and some new ones dropping in the latest competitive league.
It's that time again. Leagues comes back to Old School RuneScape with today's launch of "League V: Raging Echoes." The MMORPG's favored competitive mode will run for 8 weeks, ending on January 22nd. If you haven't participated in previous Leagues, this event tasks players with spinning up a new character on League servers and then start knocking out certain tasks. Doing so will net you points and relics that unlock new regions with additional challenges waiting for you.
Area- locking, used in previous Leagues, becomes a mainstay feature this time around and Leagues V will bring back Theorycrafting and Enhanced Bosses. However, Leagues V will include Combat Mastery, a system that changes the way you progress, this time around. The new system compliments the Relic System and gives players a bit more control over the buffs they'll have on the field.
Jagex is running a discounted membership for current and returning players to help get them into Leagues V: Raging Echoes. If you're planning to take part, I've included both the trailer and a "Tips and Tricks" video below for you.
UPDATE: Just hours after League V launched, Old School RuneScape beat its all-time concurrent player count.
