Throne And Liberty’s Latest Update Unlocks Nightmare Difficulty For Alter Of Calanthia
It also kicks off the Solisum Grand Morph Festival and the Queen Bellandir Archboss Guild Raid Event.
Today, NCSoft is bringing down Throne and Liberty to implement the 2.24.0 update. Once the downtime, expected to last around four hours, ends, players will have access to the new “Nightmare” mode for the Altar of Calanthia raid. This new mode will have increased boss stats and new – obviously more difficult – mechanics.
Those wanting to attempt the new mode will need a combat power of 7,000 to get in, and if they successfully complete the fight, they’ll be rewarded with a guaranteed Heroic accessory drop as well as the chance at a Nightmare-specific Morph. They’ll also receive a special title. A separate title is available for groups that complete the raid without anyone dying. That seems like it’ll be a pretty rare title.
The update will also kick off the Solisium Grand Morph Festival event, which will run through September 18. Players can take part in Morph Races and collect medals to trade in for rewards. During this event, players can also collect special meal ingredients needed to craft a limited-time event meal that boosts Sollant and weapon specialization gain, along with abyssal coin efficiency.
A special Archboss guild raid event will also kick off. Between now and September 3, guilds will be able to attempt a special version of the Archboss Queen Bellandir fight. This version of the fight has been adjusted to allow for a smaller group of players to attempt it. It can be attempted twice a week for the duration of the event.
In addition, players of the MMORPG can take part in a lucky pouch event for a chance to win a 100,000,000 Sollant Prize. More details on the update and its events are available in the patch notes.
