Trion Announces "Forged In Flame," The Next Chapter In Rift's Starfall Prophecy
On March 1, Rift players will get their first look at the game's next update, 4.1: Forged in Flame. The first follow-up to the Starfall Prophecy expansion, 4.1 will continue the story begun with the arrival of the Comet of Ahnket and the battle for control over it.
As one might expect from a post-expansion update, Forged in Flame will introduce a new raid. Tartartic Depths is a 10-man raid taking place in a fiery prison designed to imprison the Red Flight. There players will meet Malannon, the avatar of the Tenebrean god, The Enigma, one of four new bosses. Players interested in checking out the raid and boss can find them on the Public Test Shard via the LFR system.
Another exciting addition for players will be the Eternal items -- unique weapons earned through a level 70 quest line. These weapons can be developed by completing a variety of challenges such as closing rifts, completing jumping puzzles, and more.
The update will be a free addition to the game. Full details are available on the Rift site.
