World of Warships Is Out To Save The Real USS Texas With Charity Bundles
In World of Warships, it's vital that players work together to protect and support each other. In a similar vein, Wargaming is rallying Warships players to support the real-life version of one of the game's most popular battleships.
From now until Dec. 1, players can purchase bundles to support the USS Texas, the iconic battleship that played a key role in the action at Normandy in 1944. 100% of the proceeds from any of the Texas-related bundles and other products -- which range in price from $4.99 to $39.99 -- will go toward the restoration and preservation of the real USS Texas.
The historic ship is now facing a catastrophe, as it "suffers constant leaks averaging over 300 tons of water per day, leading to significant erosion and deterioration that will eventually be irreparable."
You can view and purchase the Texas bundles on the World of Warships website, and learn more about the efforts to save the Texas on the Battleship Texas fundraising website.
