Albion Online Under DDoS Attack Again, And Recently Banned RMT Botters Are The Likely Culprits
The servers are crashing, but compensation is promised.

Albion Online is under siege from DDoS attacks… again.
The developers over at Sandbox Interactive said that the recently banned real-money trading (RMT) botters are the likely culprits. Players of the free-to-play MMORPG have been experiencing server instability and connectivity problems for several days. The team confirmed the ongoing issues in a statement, noting that countermeasures are being implemented with help from their server host. They also hinted that the timing of the attacks aligns suspiciously with a recent wave of RMT bans — a pattern seen in past incidents.
Albion Online has faced similar attacks in 2017, 2019, and 2023, with the 2017 episode even including an extortion attempt.
In response, Sandbox Interactive is asking for player patience and has committed to compensating affected users once the situation is under control. Until then, players can expect ongoing turbulence as the developers work to secure the game.
