Grand Fantasia Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year is almost upon us. (It kicks off February 1.) Of course, that means in-game celebrations in a lot of MMOs, which is why Grand Fantasia’s Lunar New Year event begins today. This year’s event is filled with in-game fun. It’s also part of an update that introduces new visible buffs, player-requested improvements, and more.

The primary activity during this event will be to help Sprite Hujia deliver gifts to his family back home. This means escorting him and protecting both him and his gifts from those that would like to steal it. Those who help him back to his family unharmed – and with gifts in tow – will be rewarded with items and a new special title. There is also a new collection of cards that can be exchanged for sprite island decorations, mounts, costumes, and more.

Speaking of the sprite island, Chef Pepin has updated his kitchen and those that dine there will benefit from Ultimate and Divine dishes that last twice as long. In addition, Butler Sprite Jeeves has installed teleporters that will make it easier to get around.

Oh, and since February is known for more than one holiday, it should be noted that this update also brings a Valentine’s Day-themed event with it. During this event, players will help Sayla confess her love to a soldier in Kaslow. Collect a letter she’s written from a locked chest – but don’t read it. If you can manage that, you’ll earn a reward and the title “The True Meaning of Love”.
