FFXIV Live Letter Kicks Off With The Best Job Action Trailer To Date
Reaper, Sage, And A Summoner That Actually LOOKED Like A Summoner!
The FFXIV Live Letter is underway right now as I write this, but I just had to post this video for you as soon as I could. Yoshi-P and team didn't waste any time getting right to the action. As we already knew, this 4 hour stream is focused mainly on combat changes coming in Endwalker this November, whether those changes be for the new Reaper and Sage class or for all the other existing classes.
Part of the fun in watching the Job Actions trailers when they are revealed is trying to parse out through animations, spell effects, and other hints what new abilities may be coming and seeing timing changes in previously known abilities. When new classes are introduced, it's also neat to see the new job gauges (They can be seen in the video above!).
I have to say that in my opinion this was the best Job Actions trailer to date. Reaper looks incredible, the Sage looks interesting even to someone like me that just plays healer classes in FFXIV causally, and my personal favorite black mage looked VERY Shantotto-y and that's a GREAT thing. Some spells looked to combine fire and ice in an single cast and the job gauge featured a new fire/ice colored icon right above the Umbral Hearts location. I can't wait...
Summoners also looked like, well...SUMMONERS!
We're still in the beginning stages of the Live Letter and are currently learning about tank and melee DPS changes, including some changes to keep certain combos going while in movement, and Q and I will be chiming in this weekend with more details but check out the Job Actions trailer and let me know YOUR favorite class and why in the comments below.
If you totally forgot about the live letter, you can hop into chat here and watch the last 2+ hours of it right now!
