Final Fantasy XI Offers Free Logins For Returning Players Until January 5
To be clear, that's XI, not XIV.
Tired of dealing with the queues in Final Fantasy XIV? Or maybe you want to try the game but can't buy it since it's been taken off sale? Don't despair! Square Enix has you covered with a two-week free login period for its award-winning Final Fantasy MMORPG! No, not that one -- the other one.
Final Fantasy XI is running a "Return Home to Vana'diel" campaign that began on December 17 and lasts until January 5. Any previous subscriber can log back into the game for free during this period and enjoy a series of festive holiday events, including a Dragon Quest X collaboration event and the Trove Bounty Campaign. If your return prompts you to give the game another try for the long term, you can enjoy discounts on the Vana'diel Collection 4 for PC and world transfer services.
The free login period is only available for PC players, but if you had previously played in the PlayStation 2 or Xbox 360, you can download and use the Windows client for free. Details on the promotion, and how to get everything up and running, account-wise, can be found on the FFXI website.
