Lord Of The Rings Online’s Sting Server Has Been Delayed Again
Things are still not going great with the 64-bit servers.
Two months after the launch of Lord of the Rings Online’s 64-bit servers, things still aren’t completely in place. As of now, there’s still one 64-bit server waiting to be opened, and it’s been pushed back again, to May 21.
As pointed out on MassivelyOP, there are other issues as well. These include the dark worlds not yet being available for access, and players missing items lost during all of this. The issues are currently being worked on, and the devs addressed current progress in a post on the game’s Discord server earlier today. On the topic of items becoming lost, the devs are working on changes to prevent that, but the fix has not yet passed testing. Because of this, the Sting server is being delayed, and as they put it, “will open no earlier than May 21st”.
Once it’s working, the fix should hopefully return items that people have already lost. But players will have to do something on their end. It’s nothing too difficult. Just be sure to log into the F2P MMORPG world before transfers. If you don’t, any items you’re currently missing will be disassociated from your account, and you won’t be able to get them back.
