Nexon Has Yet Another Game In The Works, Team-based Shooter Project D
Alpha testing in Korea kicks off next month.
If you're wondering what new game projects Nexon is working on, you might be better served asking, "What new game projects isn't Nexon working on?" A few months ago, we got trailers for over half a dozen new titles that were in development, and just the other day, we got wind of yet another multiplayer game on the horizon, a shooter with the codename "Project D."
Judging by the action-packed trailer, Project D looks like your standard team-based PvP shooter, with hints of CS:GO-style arming/disarming of bombs, along with a few special -- though not too flashy -- skills thrown in, Valorant-style:
The second trailer is narrated in Korean, but seems to delve into the characters you'll be playing and their abilities in its first half. The second part of the video talks about maps and objectives, and how you'll traverse the varied terrain before wrapping up with a section on weapons and upgrades.
Judging by the game's website, it looks like an application period for the alpha test for Project D on PCs is currently underway and will last until November 30. The next date listed is December 1, which we'd assume means applicants will be notified on that date if they made it in, with the actual test running from December 2-15. There is no word on whether the game will make its way to the West.
