Just because it's the holidays doesn't mean Broken Ranks is taking the rest of the year off. In fact, not only is the successor to the MMORPG The Pride of Taem adding in the usual holiday event, but they are also adding a new raid boss complete with new loot, and moving up some PvP changes that were originally scheduled for next year.

On the PvP side of things, Broken Ranks has updated things to be a bit more "consensual" and in line with what their players have said they've wanted. No longer will you just get yourself nuked even if competing in PvP isn't your thing. Starting with the latest update, you'll now have to join one of 3 factions to participate in the game's seasonal PvP. Should you opt not to join a faction (or you just flag yourself as "peaceful") then you'll no longer have to worry about other players in areas other than white zones.

Raiders get a new boss as the Aqua Regis needs to be taken down by players at level 70 and there's 4 new legendary items on the line for scoring a kill. This new content even has a new intro quest that takes you through some of the horrible experiments that have been going on in the new Laboratory instance.

Finally, kicking off on December 23rd, Broken Ranks celebrates the holidays with friendly competition and activities. Gain hats and stars and use them to score holiday gifts. This event is broken up into various level ranges so everyone can take part and will run until January 2nd, so take advantage of the additional XP, loot, and gold along the way.

Check out the entire set of patch notes, including more details on the PvP changes, on the Broken Ranks site then hop in and have some holiday fun.
