PlanetSide 2 Devs Wants To Surpass 2015 Guinness World Record Of Most FPS Players Online In New PTS Event
The playtest next week will have the upcoming changes and additions to celebrate PS2's 10th anniversary.
PlanetSide 2 broke a world record of "most players in an online FPS battle" in 2015 and got its place on the Guinness World Record by reaching up to 1,158 online players. It was quite an impressive feat, but Rogue Planet Games are looking to surpass the old record in a new unofficial world record-breaking PTS event on November 5 at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
Players won't just be logging in to add to the count, but also are getting a chance to test out upcoming changes and additions to celebrate PS2's 10th anniversary. The playtest will mainly showcase Rogue's efforts to push the game's "art style forward," a better-performing spawn priority system, balance changes, and much more.
Those who participate will gain a unique mystery title for being a part of another massive milestone for PlanetSide 2. More details on what you can expect for the event will be released next week in a Dev Letter.
