Ragnarok Online Prime Adds PvP Wars Of Imperium, New Classes, And New Cities
Innova/4game's Ragnarok Online Prime has launched its own version of guild wars -- not to be confused with ArenaNet's products -- called Wars of Emperium. The battles take place every Sunday and Wednesday night, as guilds clash over castles and "for eternal glory" -- or at least until the next wars a few days later. Eternity is short these days.
Among the options players will have for these battles include a pair of new classes, the gunslinger and ninja. Each does about what you'd expect from the names: gunslingers rely on all kinds of firearms to deal explosive damage, while ninjas strike from the shadows using shuriken, daggers, and even some magic.
A pair of new cities were also included in this update, Einbroch and Einbech, and it was at this point in writing this that I thought, "Hey, those sound familiar." Indeed, I wrote about nearly this exact same update last year when it was for 4game's Ragnarok Online Revo-Classic version, only this time it's for Prime, which launched last month. I guess that's one way to keep development costs down: release the same update for two versions of the same game.
