Warframe The Old Peace Stream

Today, Digital Extremes hosted its 191st Warframe Devstream, detailing the free-to-play shooter’s next big update, The Old Peace. This does include the release date, December 10, alongside other important details.

This update will introduce the game’s 63rd Warframe – a demon-themed Warframe named Uriel, and its signature weapon, which also happens to be a new weapon class. As the update is inspired by World War I, the weapon also takes inspiration from the war. The new bayonet weapon class is a double slot melee weapon – both melee and primary. It features two different loadouts as well. As for Uriel themself, the demon-themed Warframe has the ability to spawn smaller demons that can aid in battle.

In addition to the new Warframe and weapon, the update implements various improvements. Among these is the expansion of the game’s Focus school in the progression system. It introduces special artifact quests (not to be confused with story quests), and introduces five legendary weapons, each representing a different focus school. To begin Focus expansion, players will first need to have completed The Old Peace. Then they’ll have to retrieve the legendary weapons. These weapons are not part of the normal weapon pipeline and are needed to expand the Focus tree.

Speaking of completing things, there’s good news for new players. If you’re just starting out, you don’t have to make your way through the game’s entire existing story to begin playing some of The Old Peace’s content. If you’ve completed the Lotus Eaters quest, you’ll be able to join higher-level players in some of the content – not all of it, however.

Players with a mastery rank lower than 10 can join higher rank friends in Descendia and Pareta Rebellion. And yes, having an escort will be required.

As for what this content is, Perita Rebellion is content played in 12-minute installments. It can be soloed or played with friends and is also known as the 12-minute war. While playing this content, players are exploring memories via three different campaigns, each with different bosses to fight. One will pit players against the Prime Vanguard. A demonstration of the new mode can be seen during the Stream, which you can view below.
