Digital Extreme Announces Warframe Isleweaver Update At PAX East

PAX East was in full swing this past weekend, and it’s probably no surprise that Digital Extremes was in attendance. During the convention, the developer revealed a new Warframe content update slated to drop in June. This one, titled “Isleweaver,” will turn “Duviri on its head” according to the post on the sci-fi shooter’s site.

In Isleweaver, players are invited to use their Warframes outside the Circuit in Duviri for the first time – and for a reason. Dominus Thrax is anxioius to remove the Major and the Murmer from his territory, and wants help.

The update will bring with it the game’s 61st Warframe, Oraxia. To obtain this Warframe, players will need to slip into the hunter Orxia’s lair and defeat her. This will reward players with Oraxia Warframe Component Blueprints and Blueprints for her weapons. Like the real Oraxia, the Warframe will focus on crowd control in fights, isolating and executing weakened enemies. The Warframe will also boast a wall-crawling ability.

Players can also look forward to a rework of the Warframe Valkyr. The rework is intended to “dial in” her playstyle and will allow players to better channel her Rage.
