HoYoverse Drops 30 Minute Gameplay Trailer And Job Recruitment Ad For UE5 Game Varsapura In One Go
The gameplay video is the recruitment ad.

Somehow, we missed this one when it dropped yesterday. But then again, it seems like a surprise drop from HoYoverse – particularly because there wasn’t a YouTube channel for the action RPG developer’s new Unreal Engine 5 game until yesterday. We had, of course, seen a small clip a while back. But that told us next to nothing about the game.
Yesterday, the developer dropped a 30-minute gameplay trailer that also happens to be a job recruitment ad. Yep, they’re looking for folks to help develop the new game, Varsapura.
The video, seen below, offers a look at the game’s post-apocalyptic world where everyone’s dealing with the effects of “Mindrot”. This contagious affliction is spread to people via inorganic objects and, according to the video, is the result of humanity’s collective thoughts, known as the “Rain of Thought”, pooling together and stagnating. This stagnant pool then infects objects and manifests as monsters and other things.
An organization named SEAL exists to deal with this, along with a few other organizations, and the player character starts the game there, seeking a job. Which seems appropriate since the video ends with a screen showing jobs that are currently available for this project.
As for the game’s art style, it still has its basis in anime, but is different from HoYo’s other games thanks to the engine.
