Legends Of Runeterra Patch 4.9 Adding New Cards, New Keywords, And New Mechanics

Get ready for Elemental spells and skills.

Legends of Runeterra Update 4.9

Legends of Runeterra patch 4.9 is dropping tomorrow, September 13th at 11:00 am PT, and with it comes new cards, new keywords, and a new mechanic.

Many cards will be receiving the "Elemental" type, which increases the interactivity of cards being added in the Fate's Voyage Expansion.

Legends of Runeterra Elemental spells

New vocabulary includes Updraft: Shuffle a card into your deck and reduce its cost by 1. And Titanic: Units with 8+ attack or health.

New champions are also coming to Legends of Runeterra. Nilah, Janna, and Volibear will be joining the battle in update 4.9.

Nilah

-Star Power 1: The first Fleeting card you play each round is copied.

-Star Power 2: +1 Starting Mana. Create a copy of the first 2 cards you discard each round in your deck, then draw 1 Fleeting at Next Round Start for each.

-Star Power 3: Each round, copy the first 2 Fleeting units or spells you play.

Janna

-Star Power 1: When you play a cost reduced card, reduce the cost of the top card of your deck by 1.

-Star Power 2: When you play a cost reduced card, grant the weakest ally +1|+1.

-Star Power 3: When you play a cost reduced card, reduce the cost of the top card of your deck by 2.

Volibear

-Star Power 1: When you slay a unit, summon a Sigil of the Storm.

-Star Power 2: +1 Starting Mana. When you summon a titanic unit, it strikes the weakest enemy.

-Star Power 3: When you slay a unit, summon 2 Sigils of the Storm.
