The Two Embers: Part One tells the origin story of the the kingdom of Sky.
Once again, thatgamecompany is bringing players of Sky: Children of the Light together for a unique experience. Tomorrow, players of the F2P social MMO will be treated to the first part of “The Two Embers”, an animated feature that tells the origin story of the kingdom of Sky.
The streaming will take place in the Sky Cinema, an in-game movie theater that can fit thousands of players. This is the same theater that was used for the AURORA concert, which brought more than 10,000 players together for the same experience.
The Two Embers is a “wordless animated feature” with the story told across two parts, allowing players to follow the stories of two children in two different time periods. The first part, being aired tomorrow, follows an orphan and a wounded manatee who find themselves in an unraveling world. Each chapter of the story will include new in-game content that will bring players further into the story.
