Star Trek Online’s Stormfall Launches Today On Consoles
Players can also get ready for the annual Lohlunat Festival.
Welcome to Stormfall, the next chapter in Star Trek Online’s journey. This next chapter will be available for the very first time on PlayStation and Xbox consoles today. Stormfall will introduce a host of content like: two Featured Episodes, a Remastered Starfleet Tutorial, TFO Rebuild, and the “Heart of the Storm” Special Event.
Starting with the two Featured Episodes, Captains can explore “Blueshift” and “The Calling.” In these episodes Captains will team up with Admiral Leeta and Terran Marshal Janeway to rescue Ilia and stop Terran forces from summoning a powerful new nemesis. The tutorial for the main Starfleet faction has also been upgraded and this new introduction will hopefully provide a smoother starting experience along with new upgraded environments and even more interactions with the Borg and Admiral Janeway.
“Forged in Fire” is a complete rebuild of “The Assault on Terok Nor.” In this five-player Task Force Operation, players will assemble an assault team to stop Admiral Leeta, who now has the power of the Pah-wraith, non-corporeal beings once native to the Bajoran wormhole. Then, the “Heart of the Storm” special event will allow Captains who play through numerous episodes and TFOs associated with Mirror Universe to unlock an exciting reward, the Kummarke Visionary Ground Set.
That’s not all we have for news though as with the arrival of summer also comes Star Trek Online’s annual Lohlunat Festival from June 30 through July 30. A Full month to enjoy the tropical planet of Risa and participate in summer games for new rewards like the all-new Cnidarian Defender [T6]. Some of the festival activities will include powerboard races, the biathlon, Horga’hn Hunting, Scavenging with Sovak, and the coolest Dance Party this side of the galaxy. By participating and earning credits, players can then use said credits for new items in the Summer Event Store like baseball uniforms, floaters, kit frames, and more. Also, this year's Lohlunat Festival is available on all the game’s platforms, so no need to worry about missing out on the summer fun.
Lastly, Star Trek Online has teamed up with CherryTree Inc. and now, available for a limited time, those who purchase a Star Trek case or PC will receive a special code to unlock an Elite Starter Pack for each of the three major factions in Star Trek Online, three Elite Services Starter Packs, and three coupons which grant 50% off a T6 ship (available for the PC version only). This includes the recently released Star Trek Artifact STO Edition Borg Cube ATX PC Case. Captains who are interested should visit the CherryTree website which outlines more details.
