gamigo and Destiny 2 Holidays

Snowball fights, mini-games, and shiny new weapons. These are the things that await players in their favorite games this holiday season. Whatever the game, one thing tends to unite them – winter-based festivals. Today, gamigo and Bungie both announced holiday events in their games. Gamigo is hosting events in Grand Fantasia and Trove while Bungie is, of course, hosting one in Destiny 2.

Players of Grand Fantasia have several Christmas activities to take part in this year. Not only do they have seasonal events such as snowball fights hosted by Frosti the Snowman or fighting rogue penguins to take part in, but also the new Holy King Tomb dungeon. The dungeon offers players a chance to earn a Quill Crystal granting a permanent boost to a character’s stat. Speaking of dungeons, those who attempt Yggdrasil Dungeon will earn even more boosts. These will be random and grant a boost of 9% to 22% when applied.

In Trove, it’s all about the snow. Snowfest is already underway, but it won’t be here long. It comes to an end on December 28th. During the event, the Trove Hub will be changed into a winter wonderland with snow, presents, and the works. It also introduces several winter-themed questlines and collections that will offer players all kinds of rewards like new Champion skins, new allies, and a new mount. As with Grand Fantasia, there is a snowball fight as well – the Bomber Royale Winter Edition Mode. It seems the only rule is to not throw ice balls.

Finally, Destiny 2’s holiday event adds a Statis-powered sword named Zephyr as well as a new ornament set for each class and an ugly sweater version of Ghost. And yes, there are also snowball fights.
