Fishing, Hoverboarding, And Conservation: Warframe's Big Open World Fortuna Expansion Is Now Live
You've been waiting for it since it was first shown off in July, salivated when a November launch was announced, and been constantly refreshing the Steam page for the past few days, but now the wait is over. Warframe's newest open-world expansion, Fortuna, is now live, and it's a biggie that's sure to keep players entertained through the holiday season and beyond.
In addition to all the gameplay you'd expect -- which includes "cruising on the Bondi K-Drive hoverboard to new cave exploration, animal conservation, mining, robot fishing, and intense battles against robot spiders, the nefarious Nef Anyo, and the greedy Corpus faction" -- Digital Extremes had an alternate-reality game (ARG) going on in a Discord channel that's got players figuring out the backstory of the new Solaris United faction. Solving the mystery wasn't just for fun, either, as players earned various in-gmae rewards, including exclusive sigils.
As if all that wasn't enough, you can earn more loot via Twitch Drops. You just need to watch a Warframe Fortuna stream for at least one hour from now until 2 p.m. Pacific on Nov. 15 for the chance to pick up a random reward, such as fireworks or a chance at Warframes Nidus or Khora or a Rifle Raven.
Fortuna is only on PC now, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players getting a chance to dive in at a later date. But you're probably playing instead of reading this, so I can write anything I want in this space and nobody will notice. Did you know there's a pizza that uses little pizzas as toppings? You do now.
