Guild Wars 2's Rising Flames Update Is Now Live, Adds New Zone And Legendary Weapon
Guild Wars 2's Living Story continues today with Chapter 2 of Season 3, Rising Flames. The update adds a new zone, situated in the Ring of Fire islands, as well as the Eternal Coliseum, a new PvP map where players square off while trying to win the adoration of the crowd.
Another as-yet-unannounced feature coming in this update is the addition of a new legendary weapon: Eureka, the legendary mace. It's the first legendary that's been added to the game since ArenaNet said it would be ceasing legendary weapon production back in April.
Other significant changes include reworking of several Mistlock Instabilities and Toughness scaling in Fractals, and, of course, a continuation of the storyline involving the Elder Dragon Primodus and the resurgent White Mantle and its new mursaat leader.
