Path Of Exile Name Drops Next Expansion, "The Forbidden Sanctum," Launching Early December For PC And Consoles
Grinding Gear Games will host a livestream on December 1 to share details.
Today, Grinding Gear Games dropped a short trailer revealing the next expansion for Path of Exile. "The Forbidden Sanctum," as shown in the video, will launch on December 9 on PC and later on December 14 for consoles.
Just before those dates roll around, Grinding Gear will host a livestream to discuss specifics about the upcoming expansion on December 1 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time on their Twitch channel. Details are sparse as of this writing, but many players speculate some "dungeon-crawler vibes" for the update after seeing players will fight enemies in an enclosed space with multiple doors.
The Forbidden Sanctum is following a rough launch of Lake of Kalandra. However, the developers have discussed many player-focused improvements for this big update. With the "Ruthless" mode and other initiatives coming out around the same time, Path of Exile will see a lot of changes that hopefully are positive.
