RuneScape League Catalyst

RuneScape is launching its first-ever League event, called CATALYST, on September 15. Inspired by Old School RuneScape, this is a time-limited mode for the free-to-play MMORPG running until November 10. Players will create a special League character to access dedicated servers, enjoying accelerated XP rates that begin at 4x and go higher as Relics are unlocked. The mode is accessible for members.

At the core of Leagues: CATALYST is Tasks and Relics. Tasks span across all aspects of RuneScape — combat, skilling, quests, minigames, and exploration — and range from simple beginner goals to high-skill challenges. Completing tasks earns League Points, which both fuel competition on the League HiScores and unlock tiers of Relics. These Relics are powerful buffs that offer benefits like unlimited run energy, faster farming, boosted XP, or enhanced combat powers. Each tier forces players to choose between multiple Relics.

Unlike Old School RuneScape Leagues, all regions of Gielinor in this iteration of RuneScape are open from the start. Trading is disabled, and Treasure Hunter isn’t present, though. Players will earn trophies at the end of the event, from Bronze to Dragon, and be able to spend their League Points on exclusive cosmetics like outfits, weapons, overrides, auras, and a new pet.
