RuneScape Pickpocket

There’s a new update (out today) for the free-to-play MMORPG RuneScape that expands two skills: Runecrafting and Thieving.

Players can now train these skills beyond Level 99. For Runecrafting, players can now create augmented versions of traditional runes that provide enhanced magical effects. The update also brings new altars and crafting sites with unique mechanics, offering high-level players additional ways to gain experience more efficiently.

As for Thieving, the update added more depth to rogue-style gameplay by expanding Safecracking within the Thieves’ Guild and introducing advanced heists. Players can now engage in more advanced thieving missions across Gielinor, requiring a little more planning and offering a lot more rewards. These new features are designed to reinvigorate interest in two traditionally grind-heavy skills, according to Jagex, adding meaningful content for endgame players while providing improved XP rates and unique perks for skill progression.

Also, there’s a 10-day Double XP event from May 16 to 26 that gives players 48 hours of pausable Double XP to use. Here’s the patch notes.
