Trove Celebrates 7th Anniversary With Another Year Of Sunfest, Event Brings New Questline And Rewards
Players can meet a new charismatic character through the in-game event.
Gamigo and Trion Worlds' voxel-based MMO Trove is turning seven on July 15. To celebrate the game's milestone, the devs are throwing another Sunfest in-game event this year.
Sunfest 2022 introduces a charismatic newcomer to Trove, Chuck Pinzo, who supposedly has a way to become rich with cubits from a "once-in-a-lifetime investment opportunity." According to the devs, it's more of a "scam, depending on who you ask." Players aiming to contribute to Chuck Pinzo's investment will progress through a 12-step questline.
Completing the questline rewards players with two new currencies, Pinzoins and Trovian Finite Notes (I see what they did there), and use them to gain tradable skins like the most recent Bunfest or Shadow's Eve. Additionally, players could use the currencies for new mounts, allies, and premium reward crates containing tradable versions of last year's rewards.
Trovians can also once again purchase delve decoration boxes for the Tysorion, Carys, and Panatea houses from previous Sunfest events. Last year's Sunfest collectibles are craftable now, too, and obtainable by converting TFNs into the appropriate house's currency.
Outside of the return of Sunfest 2022, players can celebrate the game's 7th birthday by finding the piñatas that randomly spawn across the game world. They will have random rewards inside them, and players can input the code TROVE7THBIRTHDAY to gain a little something special for the anniversary. Beginning on July 15, Gamigo will host a Trove steam on its Twitch channel and have Twitch drops available on the same day.
