Update 36 Brings A Renewed Gondor To Lord Of The Rings Online
A new story begins in a renewed King's Gondor.
Today marks the release of Update 36 in Lord of the Rings Online. With it comes a new epic story quest, a new zone, and a renewal of the land following the defeat of Sauron.
The new epic story quest is titled "The Song of Waves and Wind", and can be started by speaking to Glindon in midsummer Minas Tirith by the stables. The quest is for characters level 140 and anyone who is VIP, purchases the "Gondor Renewed" quest pack, or purchases quest packs associated with the story that are released in the future. Bright and sunny fields have replaced gloomy dark skies in Gondor, and new areas are open for exploration throughout the land.
Also available in this update is Landscape Difficulty, allowing players to adjust the difficulty of overworld content to their liking. You can do so by speaking to a Hardened Traveller in many major hubs including the Prancing Pony in Bree and several other locations.
Along with all of this comes plenty of other patch tweaks and changes to the MMORPG which you can read in full over on the Lord of the Rings Online Steam page.
