World Of Tanks Blitz Announces Partnership With Soccer Player Lukas Podolski

World of Tanks Blitz is getting Seasons and to kick things off – literally – they’ve teamed up Lukas Podolski, the soccer player who formerly played for Arsenal. Blitz’s new Seasons will span three months and include events, rewards, and more when the strategy game kicks things off..

Season one has a “retrofuteristic” vibe going on in Retrotopia. Over the three months of the Season, players will be able to explore its universe, learn the story, and make use of a limited-time currency known as Kitcoins. They’ll also have the opportunity to research three seasonal tanks – the Magnate, the Fixer, and the Regressor.

During this particular season, players will also have a coach in the form of Lukas Podolski and earn exclusive rewards tied to him. They’ll just have to complete the exclusive Top Scorer Quest between June 8 and June 18 in order to receive special items like an avatar, a background, a Football Shirt Collectible with Lukas’ signature, and special themed camoflauge – among other things.
