Eclipse War Online tells the tale of two powerful factions at war, the Rumen and mutant Kaligo. The two factions share a common ancestry, but a dark magic has corrupted the Kaligo, causing a war between the two and forcing the Kaligo to flee to the far side of the world.

In EWO, players may transform into the monsters they slay. Unlike other transformation systems in similar MMOs, EWO’s transformations are not time based and can be freely changed outside of combat. Each new transformation gains additional stats and abilities as they level up which can be chained together with the characters base abilities. These transformations also have special conditions which grant them additional bonuses depending on the time of day and what environment the player is fighting within.

Besides open world questing and PvE dungeons, players can participate in open world PvP or battlegrounds. When an enemy player is defeated, the victor can steal the deceased player’s form, gaining the enemies skills for a short time. All players also have access to a unique rage skill which changes based on how much damage the player has taken.

  1. Terribly designed with coding, physics and restrictions as if the game had been released 10 years ago.

Was really looking forward to this game, but it ended up being nothing but a huge disappointment, on top of a complete ghost town due to total lack of advertising by the developer

    • They’ve done some updates/changes but I’m with you regarding player population. It would have been nice if there are a lot more player that you can talk to in-game.

  2. character transformation seems interesting.. I like to transform into a huge monster reminds me of a anime series Shingeki No Kyojin.

  3. I play the CBT and I love the card system wherein you can transform into monster. Hoping to see the 3-lane MOBA PVP in the upcoming OBT
