Minimum is a third person shooter which combines fast paced arcade gunplay with hack and slash melee combat and MOBA-like progression. Minimum’s main gameplay mode called “Titan” has two teams of 5 competing for resources used to power their team’s Titan, a large robot whose objective is to destroy the enemy’s base.
Players can collect these resources by killing other players or neutral robots which spawn during set intermissions. The more resources a team collects the more persistently powerful that team’s Titan becomes. Other resources dropped by enemies can be used to craft armor from blueprints which provide players with passive bonuses such as increased damage at the cost of maximum health or additional damage to enemy Titans. Killing players also drops special orbs which empower a player’s weapon, causing it to transform and gain new abilities. Unlike crafted armor, weapon upgrades are lost once a player dies.
In between matches players may craft new weapons, augment existing weapons with new stats, craft new armor blueprints, and even create special equipment which can range from an automated flame turret to a deployable forcefield.
