Transformers Universe is a PvP focused MOTA or “Multiplayer Online Tactical Action” Game. Within TU, players will choose to side with either the Autobots or Decepticons as they fight for control over Earth in instanced PvP matches.

Before each match, players may deploy a starting transformer and choose to customize it with additional power cores and stat attributes to further enhance its abilities. Similar to heroes in MOBAs, each transformer possesses its own style of play giving players the opportunity to play both offensive and supportive roles. All transformers start with a unique passive, 3 different weapons specific to the particular transformer, along with an additional three abilities in both their normal form and vehicle mode.

Speaking of vehicle mode, players may easily transform in and out of their vehicle form (unique to each transformer) as they venture across the game’s maps. The ease of which players may disengage from battle through the use of their vehicle form allows for intense moments of cat-and-mouse gameplay as the fleeing player attempts to evade incoming damage while racing to seek assistance from his fellow players.

Participating in PvP matches earns players Energon and Relics which may be used to craft consumable items and purchase new transformers. Relics are the most important resources as they are the primary cash shop currency in Transformers Universe and are earned quite slowly outside of purchasing them from the store.

While most of Transformers Universe is centered around PvP gameplay, players can venture out into their faction specific zone whereby they can choose to complete open world missions with other fellow players. At this time, only one open world zone for each faction is available.

  1. You can unlock heroes for money (overpriced), or (heavy)Grind.
It’s absolutely ridiculous and tedious to farm new warriors.
In addition, the same currency what you use for warriors, you need to spend on equips.
So if you like to massive grind , and unbalanced matches enjoy!

Ps:*Is there just a O N E map pve to farm, you basically keep repeating the same quests for hours;*
*Until you earn money in game to buy new characters, people who have already bought with money will be winning matches against your team!*

    • Game is shutdown it never made it passed beta and if you played it then you know that was the obvious outcome from the start.

  2. I like how this game could have been and here are some lists of pro and cons I will be listing about this game within a 1 hour review.

*Game looks nice for a Transformer game. the graphics are not to the point of being completely awful.
*Controls are are fine and work as they should
*Many classes to choose from for different play styles.
*Earn paid in-game currency by playing the game is always a huge plus even if its little at a time.
*Nice well made maps for both PVP and PVE play styles.
*PVP match making has no within level match up. (this means a very high level player can join up into your game and basically destroy you in the matter of seconds. As a new player starting out this is a bit of a turn off and will push away any new players wanting to play this game mode.)
*PVE is kinda boring and stale, exp rates are very very very very low. Honestly I am not sure why they even bothered to put this into the game if they where gonna keep the exp at such a low rate.
*Chat system seems to be a bit confusing for me as there are no tabs for team chat, all chat and etc. I did find out of if I wanted to talk in any of these I have to type in the command to switch to it.
*Tutorial was not interesting at all matter fact I had the over whelming urge to stop the game there before I even got to the actually game and if I got this feel very sure other did also.

Well that’s what I got in an hour of game play. I really did enjoy the game however theses cons really pushed me away from it. It may be fine for you, but when there are no level restrictions on match making I would at least like to have a decent alternative to push the levels along.

  3. this game is the coolest. for a 3d game and only 150mb to download the full game. I highly recommend this game and get a gamepad and software. best game ever
